New Scotland Yard

London

New Scotland Yard was designed by AHMM as an extension of the 1930s Curtis Green Building located on the Thames Embankment. The main idea was to modernise the building and to create a flexible office environment to facilitate interaction between staff. The building now features an additional elegant curved glass entrance pavilion and rooftop pavilions, expanding its overall surface area from 8,691 sqm to around 12,000 sqm.

For the project, SCP collaborated with AHMM to create a bespoke curved leather sofa system for the new reception area.

SCP Contracts have worked with AHMM on a number of their projects in recent years, including the QEII Conference Centre, 240 Blackfriars, Dagenham Park School and Kirk Balk Community College. Each project is very different to work on, but all benefit from how AHMM approach them.
