Nice Projects partnered with Fora Space to completely refurbish this expansive, seven-storey Brutalist building on Portland Place. Originally built in 1964 to accommodate a hotel and the BBC’s Research & Development teams, it now houses a vibrant 70,000-square-foot co-working hub. The design respectfully nods to the building’s mid-century origins, with thoughtfully updated furniture and architectural details that bring new energy to the space.

A bold new entrance welcomes visitors, leading to interiors that are bright, contemporary, and rich in texture. Highlights include beautifully restored terrazzo floors in the lift lobbies and carefully renovated parquet flooring. The ground floor features an elegant, open café, lush with greenery and anchored by a custom tiled wall by Studio GdB, a striking backdrop to a bespoke bar counter by Huguet Mallorca. Throughout the breakout areas, mid-century fabric panels by British heritage brand Tibor pair seamlessly with custom rugs by Totzke, adding warmth and character.
