Oliver’s Yard is a contemporary workplace refurbishment in the heart of EC1, centred around a landscaped courtyard that creates a calm retreat within one of London’s most vibrant tech and creative districts. Tucked just off City Road near Old Street, the building offers a quiet yet well-connected setting that balances urban energy with a sense of tranquillity.
The redesigned arrival sequence opens through glazed sliding doors into a bright, contemporary reception space, complemented by an outdoor courtyard with generous seating and mature planting. Crafted details such as end-grain timber flooring and feature lighting add warmth and character, creating a welcoming and thoughtfully designed workplace environment.
SCP Contracts worked closely with Derwent London to specify furniture for the project, including bespoke sofas designed by the Derwent design team.
