The reimagining of the ground floor at 5 New Street Square by Basha-Franklin for Landsec delivers a transformative, hospitality-led experience designed to attract the next generation of occupiers while aligning with ambitious BREEAM and WELL goals. Spanning 5,300 sq ft, the new reception and lounge extend the building’s amenity offer, creating a sophisticated, human-centred environment that enhances both first impressions and long-term appeal.
From the square, generous sightlines lead to CONFLUENCE, a striking origami-inspired installation by Fung+Bedford that bridges the vibrancy of the city with the calm of the foyer. Inside, layered double-height spaces balance awe with comfort, while a metal mesh curtain reveals a flexible work lounge designed for collaboration, connection, and events. Art is woven throughout the experience, offering cultural resonance and memorable moments of discovery.
Every detail has been carefully considered for adaptability: versatile furniture, seamless AV integration, and a refined material palette create an environment that is easy to use, elegant, and enduring. By combining hospitality, amenity, and artistry, Basha-Franklin has set a new benchmark for workplace arrival, transforming 5 New Street Square into a place of connection, identity, and pride.
