Apostrophe Austin Friars

London

This Apostrophe store occupies a converted former office space on the ground floor of a late C19th listed building in the City of London. Appropriately, given its location in the centre of London’s financial district, the store contains areas suitable for informal meetings. A lounge-type atmosphere is created using a materials palette of blackened steel, copper, and dark timber. Copper mesh dividers lend privacy to sections of the space whilst allowing views through the space.
SCP Contracts worked with Emulsion Architecture to provide furniture and lighting which fitted the client’s brief. The Croissant chairs by Billiani offer generous, comfortable seating and the Lottus Swivel stools by Enea allow customers to watch the baristas in action. The beautifully engineered Apollo pendant lights by International Design Studio in perforated anodised copper cast striking shadows throughout the space.
