Situated on the beautifully scenic North Cornwall coast, the Watergate Bay Hotel has gained a reputation as a premier UK destination for both action and relaxation. The hotel has its very own Extreme Academy that offers a variety of different outdoor sea-based activities from surfing to hand planing.
It also has a newly opened active relaxation spa designed in partnership by architects Stride Treglown and Shoreditch based design consultancy Household. The hotel also has plentiful choice in terms of food and drink including 15 Cornwall, part of Jamie Oliver’s social enterprise scheme.
SCP Contracts worked closely with local consultancy Household on the specification of furniture and product for the newly opened active relaxation spa. Household took a non-conformist approach to spa design, focusing in particular on creating a ‘lived-in’ and ‘perfectly imperfect’ feel to the interior spaces.
SCP brand products specified include the Oscar armchair and sofa by Matthew Hilton and the Motley pouffe by Donna Wilson, whilst SCP Contracts also supplied products from brands such a Carl Hansen, De La Espada, Andreu World and Original BTC.
